This special version of the super limited edition NVC02 handmade coat design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the world exclusively for Cruvoir in Los Angeles. It was created from an authentic early 1920’s French double-breasted long-length atelier workers coat reproduction pattern and cut in a luxurious superlight Indigo cotton and wool woven by L. Parisotto and family in Sarcedo, Vicenza Italy, then individually hand washed Darkest Black in Geoffrey B. Small studios for extra aging and softness. The design also features remarkable real horn buttons made for Geoffrey in Parma Italy by Claudio and Cinzia Fontana, the greatest living buttonmakers in the world today, specially reproduced tacked down pleated front pockets from the original design, and real double-stitched seaming throughout the garment performed by single-needle sewing machine authentic to the period, that took more than twice as long to create the garment than using typical double-needle equipment, and 6 hand stitched buttonholes (each one requires 8-10 minutes to cut and sew) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads.
